Tevaun Smith

School: Iowa
Position: WR
Positive: Part-time starter the past two seasons. Career totals of 43 receptions and 596 receiving yards came during his junior campaign. Understated receiver with a large upside. Well-built, uses his frame to shield away defenders and protects the pass. Easily makes the reception in stride, displays outstanding eye/hand coordination and gets vertical over opponents to grab the pass in contorted positions. Adjusts to the errant throw and displays both soft and strong hands.
Negative: Despite his 40 time presents himself as a one speed receiver. Average route runner. Average production the past two years.
Analysis: Entering the season scouts thought Smith was on the verge of a breakout campaign yet it never happened. He possesses the size, speed and has shown enough receiving skill to make a roster if he takes his game to the next level.
