Shaq Washington

School: Cincinnati
Position: WR
Positive: All-Conference selection as a senior after career totals of 88 receptions, 971 yards and 6 TDs. Also averaged 10.3 yards on 13 punt returns. Reliable but undersized receiver best as a return specialist. Quick, easily separates from defenders and comes back to the ball or finds a way to come free. Runs sharp routes, quickly gets into breaks then stays low on exit. Effectively tracks the pass in the air, adjusts to the errant throw and for the most part extends to make the reception away from his frame. Displays a burst, plays faster than his 40 time and easily makes the deep reception in stride. Impacts the game as a punt returner.
Negative: Does not consistently catch the ball cleanly or come away with the tough grab. Must improve his blocking.
Analysis: Washington lacks next level measurables but gets the most from his ability and could be a serviceable slot receiver if he produces as a return specialist.
