Rashard Higgins

School: Colorado State
Position: WR
Positive: Three-year starter awarded all-Conference honors the past two seasons. Named to numerous All-America teams as a sophomore when he posted 96 receptions, 1750 yards and 17 TDs. Productive college receiver with average physical skills for the next level. Agile, nicely adjusts to the errant throw at full speed and looks the ball into his hands. Tracks the pass in the air, makes the reception in stride and nicely times receptions. Makes the tough catch downfield with defenders draped on him and gets vertical in a crowd to come away with the ball. Keeps the play in bounds running after the catch.
Negative: One speed wide out with a limited burst. Does not catch the ball cleanly and unnecessarily lets passes get inside him. Slows into pass routes.
Analysis: Higgins was very productive on the college level but lacks the speed to beat defenders vertically as well as the size to be a game controlling possession receiver. He offers enough skill to get consideration as a 4th or 5th wide out and can lineup in the slot on Sunday's.
