Marcus Johnson

School: Texas
Position: WR
Positive: Part-time starter the past three seasons who finished with a career-best 27 receptions as a junior and 350 receiving yards during his sophomore campaign. Athletic receiver prospect with marginal college production. Displays terrific quickness in his game, fires into pass routes and uses his hands to separate from defenders. Comes back to the ball out of breaks, adjusts to the errant throw and extends to make the reception away from his frame. Competes to make the reception, consistently catches the ball away from his frame then quickly transitions up the field after the catch. Well-built and wins out in battles.
Negative: Has struggled with nagging injuries in the past. Not a true vertical threat. Minimal college production.
Analysis: When on the field and healthy Johnson flashed next level ability but has shown little in the way of durability. He is worth stashing on a practice squad.
