Karnorris Benson

School: Western Carolina
Position: WR
Positive: Three-year starter who posted a career-best 51 receptions, 834 yards and 12 TDs as a sophomore. Nice sized receiver best in underneath coverage. Quickly releases off the line into pass routes, explodes into breaks and nicely adjusts to the errant throw. Extends to make the reception away from his frame, keeps his focus and makes the difficult catch with defenders draped on him. Extends his hands offering the quarterback a target, effectively makes the reception on crossing patterns and quickly turns up field running after the catch. Plays physical football and competes to come away with the grab.
Negative: One speed receiver and lacks a downfield burst. Does not show much run after the catch skill. Never improved on what was an outstanding sophomore campaign.
Analysis: Benson was a reliable receiver but comes with limited computer numbers. He could make a Sunday roster if he plays well on special teams.
