Ed Eagan

School: Northwestern State
Position: WR
Positive: Three-year starter awarded All-America and all-Conference honors the past two seasons as both a receiver and return specialist. Senior totals included 58 receptions, 745 yards and 4 TDs when he also averaged 23.4 yards on 34 kick returns. Consistent pass catcher who helps out as a return specialist. Plays with balance, comes back to the ball out of breaks and makes the difficult reception. Quickly releases off the line into pass routes, runs well laterally and nicely adjusts to the errant throw, making the reception in stride. Gets vertical, keeps his focus and shows the ability to make difficult receptions. Game impacting return specialist.
Negative: Lacks size, struggles in battles and a poor blocker. Does a bit of double catching and drops catchable throws.
Analysis: Eagan is a slot receiver whose greatest value at the next level will be returning kicks and punts.
