Daniel Anthrop

School: Purdue
Position: WR
Positive: Led Purdue with 57 receptions last season for 430 yards and 2 TDs. Suffered a significant knee injury 9 games into the 2014 season. Well-built receiver with a physical game. Tough, sturdy and exposes himself to the big hit but comes away with the reception. Extends to make the catch away from his frame, nicely adjusts to the errant throw and displays good eye/hand coordination. Competes to come away with the difficult catch.
Negative: Lacks a quick release off the line of scrimmage. Displays himself as a one speed receiver and does not play was 40 time. Seems to have lost a half step of speed since his knee injury.
Analysis: Anthrop was consistent and productive when healthy and showed flashes of next level skill the past two years. If he passes team medicals and remains durable he could make a roster as a 5th wide out.
