Brandon Swindall

School: Utah State
Position: WR
Positive: Occasional starter the past two seasons posting a career-best 29 receptions, 285 yards and 6 TDs as a sophomore. Nice sized receiver with the ability to control the action. Uses his frame to shield away defenders or protect the pass, extends his hands and snatches the ball from the air. Nicely adjusts to the errant throw and displays soft hands. Quickly turns up field running after the catch.
Negative: One speed receiver and lacks a 2nd gear. Pedestrian production in college.
Analysis: Despite being rated as a draftable prospect prior to the season, Swindall could not break into the starting lineup and did not elevate his game. He's a developmental prospect worth stashing on a practice squad but a player who must quickly pull the pieces together and start producing.
