Ryan Malleck

School: Virginia Tech
Position: TE
Positive: Three-year starter who posted 21 receptions, 289 yards and 2 TDs as a senior. Athletic tight end prospect still developing at the position. Bends his knees, breaks down well and plays with good pad level. Shows the ability to get down the seam then adjusts to the errant throw and looks the ball into his hands. Makes the difficult catch in a crowd over the middle of the field. Explosive and gives effort blocking.
Negative: Bends at the waist, lacks blocking balance and functional football strength. Really does not play his 40 time. Marginally productive on the college level.
Analysis: Lee is a physical specimen with the size/speed numbers to start as a move tight end at the next level. He's worth considering in the late rounds then stashing on the three deep for future development.
