David Morgan

School: Texas-San Antonio
Position: TE
Positive: Two-year starter awarded All-America honors as a senior after totaling 45 receptions, 566 yards and 5 TDs. Consistent tight end with an all-around game. Aggressive blocker, fires off the snap, stays square and shows strength at the point. Keeps his head on a swivel, works well with offensive lineman and always looking for someone to hit. Bends his knees, stays low to the ground and effectively places his hands into defenders. Solid pass catcher adjusting to the errant throw and making the reception away from his frame.
Negative: Does a bit of bending at the waist and blocks off balance. Poor route runner, gathers into breaks and showing limited quickness on exit.
Analysis: Morgan was a solid two-year player on the college level and offers enough skill and natural ability to make a roster as a 3rd tight end.
