Jason Spriggs

School: Indiana
Position: T
Positive: Four-year starter who spent his college career at left tackle. All-American selection as a senior. Tremendous pass blocking tackle prospect with a large upside. Fires off the snap, stays square and makes outstanding use of blocking angles and body positioning. Keeps his feet and hands active in pass protection, technically sound and blocks with leverage. Easily slides his feet in space, can adjust to oncoming defenders and gets his hands into opponents, knocking them from their angle of attack. Quick out to the second level displaying the ability to redirect to linebackers and effective blocking in motion.
Negative: Not a mauler that devastates opponents at the point of attack. Average run blocker and struggles getting movement.
Analysis: Spriggs was a consistent performer in college at the all-important left tackle position and is a solid athlete with a large upside. He possesses starting ability at the next level and could end up playing with the first-team as a rookie.
