Patrick Onwuasor

School: Portland State
Position: S
Positive: Arizona transfer who started the past two seasons at Portland State. Awarded all-Conference honors as a senior after 85 tackles, 9 INT's and 10 PBU's. Large, imposing safety best between the numbers. Explosive, strong and brings ball handlers down on initial contact. Relatively fluid flipping his hips in transition, defeats blocks to get to the action and hard-hitting. Remains disciplined with assignments, reads the quarterbacks eyes and possesses good hands for the interception.
Negative: Shows limited burst in his game. At times seems as though he's going half speed. Shows a lot of indecision and inefficiency in his game.
Analysis: Onwuasor flashes the ability to be a forceful difference maker on the field and offers possibilities as a strong safety or one gap linebacker. That being the case he needs work on his instincts and could pick up the intensity a bit.
