Kavon Frazier

School: Central Michigan
Position: S
Positive: All-Conference selection as a senior after starting 13 games and finishing the year with 108 tackles, 1 INT and 4 PBU's. Large, fluid safety best making plays up the field. Keeps the action in front of him, quickly gets to the ball handler and wraps up tackling. Uses his frame to out position receivers in coverage. Effectively recognizes routes in zone and works well with cornerbacks. Smooth, has a good change of direction and keeps the play in front of him.
Negative: One speed defensive back and lacks a closing burst. Despite his size not a strong open field tackler. Best playing downhill.
Analysis: Frazier is a big athlete with a nice degree of upside potential but a defensive back limited in the types of schemes he will be effective in.
