Jeremy Cash

School: Duke
Position: S
Positive: Three-year starter awarded All-America and all-Conference honors since his sophomore season. Senior totals included 101 tackles, 18 tackles for loss and 4 pass defenses. Nice sized safety with outstanding instincts and anticipation. Resilient, consistently productive and constantly around the action. Smart, effectively diagnoses plays and explosive at the point of attack. Quick to recognize the action, stays with assignments and forceful up the field. Plays with a good degree of quickness, easily changes direction and has a burst to the ball. Uses his hands to protect himself, rarely off his feet and sells out to make plays. Shows a nice degree of quickness in his game.
Negative: Average lateral speed. Played more up at the line of scrimmage as an additional linebacker last season. Average ball skills.
Analysis: Cash was a terrific player at Duke and is a nice sized defensive back with starting potential in a zone system or as a traditional strong safety.
