Jared Baker

School: Arizona
Position: RB
Positive: Posted a career-best 798 rushing yards and 9 TDs last season when he moved into the starting role. Undersized but underrated ball carrier with the ability to create yardage. Runs with good lean, elusive and loses little momentum changing direction. Possesses the agility necessary to turn the corner, has a burst and follows blocks everywhere on the field. Squirm's through the small openings on the inside then falls forward when tackled. Effectively helps the quarterback sell ball fakes.
Negative: Not a strong back that's going to pick up much yardage off initial contact and easily brought down by a single defender. Solid speed but cannot run to daylight.
Analysis: Baker is an undersized skill player with possibilities as a third-down back. He would help his cause by displaying return skills in camp this summer.
