D.J. Foster

School: Arizona State
Position: RB
Positive: Three-year starter that's lined up at both receiver and running back. Senior totals included 59 receptions for 584 yards and 3 TDs. Junior totals included 1081 yards rushing and 9 TDs. Versatile skill player productive when the ball is in his hands. Displays good recognition and awareness, consistently keeps the play in bounds and runs North/South handling the ball. Fights with his hands to separate from defenders, comes back to the ball and easily adjusts to the errant throw. Makes the reception in all sorts of contorted positions and to his credit extends to make the reception away from his frame. Displays the ability to create yardage, elusive and makes defenders miss in the open field.
Negative: Not a big bodied or sturdy receiver. Lacks deep speed. Cannot run to daylight when the ball is in his hands. Occasionally does some unnecessary body catching.
Analysis: Foster is a multitalented athlete best as a situational 3rd down skill player carrying the ball or catching it out of the backfield.
