Brandon Williams

School: Texas A&M
Position: RB
Positive: Oklahoma transfer who started his career at running back before moving to the secondary last season and finishing with 37 tackles and 7 pass defenses. Athletic prospect with a nice degree of versatility. Patiently waits for blocks to develop carrying the ball, quickly finds the cutback lanes and avoids piles or defenders to create yardage. Quick footed, can turn the corner and has a burst which he turns on in a single step. Stays on the receivers hip out of breaks at cornerback, has a solid burst to the ball and works to break up passes.
Negative: Slow getting his head back around and tracking the pass in the air. Not a big ball carrier that picks up yardage off initial contact.
Analysis: Williams was a solid running back at Oklahoma before transferring to Texas A&M then switching to cornerback. He displayed flashes in the secondary last season but is long way from being NFL ready and may ultimately be best as a 3rd down back on Sunday.
