Chuckie Keeton

School: Utah State
Position: QB
Positive: Three-year starter previously awarded all-Conference honors. Has struggled with injury since 2013. Totals last season included 1006 yards rushing, 4 TDs and 7 INT's. Career-best 3373 yards passing and 27 TDs came during his sophomore season. One-time highly thought of a signal caller whose development has been stunted by injury. Effectively commands the offense, patient in the pocket and scans the field. Sells ball fakes, relatively athletic and elusive with the ability to avoid the rush. Gets outside the pocket and keeps his eyes down the field looking for open wide outs.
Negative: Questionable deep accuracy. Does not consistently release the ball with proper footwork. Has a big windup. Sprays passes and throws can be all over the place.
Analysis: After his sophomore season Keeton looked like a top quarterback prospect but his play has since fallen off, in large part due to injuries. He's a potential practice squad prospect who may never make an active roster in the NFL.
