Mike Bercovici

School: Arizona State
Position: QB
Positive: Posted career totals of 3855 passing yards and 30 TDs last season when he became Arizona State's starting quarterback on a full-time basis. Undersized, short area passer with limited upside. Patient in the pocket, knows where his receivers are on the field and displays a sense of timing on throws. Possesses a quick release, has a live arm and shows good speed on the short and intermediate passes. Fluid getting outside the pocket and easily makes the throw on the move. Turns it upfield and picks up yardage with his legs. Effectively controls the offense.
Negative: Does not hold up well against the rush and easily brought down by defenders. Tosses the ball into covered targets and makes some dangerous throws. Cannot drive deep passes.
Analysis: Bercovici did a terrific job as a senior but lacks size and arm strength and overall for the next level. Potentially a solid backup for a timing offense.
