Jake Rudock

School: Michigan
Position: QB
Positive: Three-year starter who began his college career at Iowa. Senior totals included a career-best 3017 passing yards and 20 TDs. Strong-armed passer with an inconsistent game. Athletic, can drive passes down the field or pick up yardage with his legs. Senses pressure and steps up to avoid it, effectively sets up screen and consistently locates the open wide out. Makes proper choices in the pocket, does not force passes into covered receivers and keeps his eyes downfield. Patient and displays a good sense for knowing where his receivers are.
Negative: Has a bit of a wind up and inefficient delivery. Must improve his overall pass placement.
Analysis: Rudock was an efficient quarterback at both Iowa and Michigan then performed reasonably well during Shrine Game practices. He possesses the size and arm strength to play at the next level but in the end maybe nothing more than a developmental quarterback that spends most of his time on the practice squad.
