Tyson Coleman

School: Oregon
Position: OLB
Positive: Two-year starter who posted a career-best 63 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks as a senior. Small but explosive linebacker best making plays up the field. Breaks down well, uses good hand technique to protect himself and fights hard to get off blocks. Displays a good change of direction, easily redirects to the action and fluid getting out in space to make plays. Instinctive and keeps the action in front of him. Wraps up tackling and gives effort.
Negative: Taken from the play by opposing tight ends. Undersized but better making plays moving forwards then in reverse. More of a drag down tackler.
Analysis: Coleman has size limitations but gets the most from his ability and plays with a special-teams mentality.
