Tyler Gray

School: Boise State
Position: OLB
Positive: Part-time starter the past two seasons posting a career-best 61 tackles as a junior. Athletically gifted linebacker prospect who flies around the field and plays with a nasty attitude. Fires through the gaps defending the run, pursues the action with speed and possesses solid instincts. Effective open field tackler, wrapping up and bringing opponents down at the point of attack. Breaks down well, gets depth on drops and covers a good amount of area on the field.
Negative: Has a streaky game was never a consistent starter on the college level. Struggles getting off blocks. Average ball skills in coverage.
Analysis: Gray has the size/speed numbers to play at the next level and has flashed ability but must significantly step up his game to have any chance of getting off a practice squad.
