Dominique Alexander

School: Oklahoma
Position: OLB
Positive: Three-year starter twice named all-Conference selection. Posted a career-best 107 tackles as a sophomore. Small, one gap linebacker who flies around the field to make plays. Quick, fast moving in every direction and flashes on the scene. Finds the ball, torpedoes his way to the action and displays a tremendous closing burst. Takes good angles to the play, quickly collapses outside-in defending the run and scrapes well laterally. Displays tremendous range, a closing burst of speed and attacks ball handlers.
Negative: Not a strong tackler that brings opponents down on initial contact. Shows indecision in coverage and has limited production against the pass. Needs a free shot at the action as he is easily blocked from plays.
Analysis: Alexander is a fierce run and chase linebacker who stands out in pursuit. Size limitations are a concern but he could contribute to one gap system.
