Desmond Morgan

School: Michigan
Position: OLB
Positive: Three-year starter at linebacker posting a career-best 81 tackles as a true sophomore in 2012. Hard-working linebacker who sells out to make plays. Flies around the field, works hard and effectively uses his hands to protect himself. Fluid moving laterally, flows well to the action and strings plays out to the flanks. Keeps the action in front of him and does make have errors in judgment.
Negative: Does not play to his speed. Shows an average burst to the action and marginally effective in pursuit. Does not get depth on pass drops.
Analysis: Morgan was consistently productive for Michigan since his freshman season yet never had a breakout year or took his game to the next level. He possesses the measurables and overall skill to make it as a backup linebacker/special teams player but he must step his game up.
