Dadi Nicholas

School: Virginia Tech
Position: OLB
Positive: Two-year starter and an all-Conference selection as a junior after totals of 72 tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss and 9 sacks. Athletically gifted defensive front seven player with a streaky game. Bends his knees, plays with tremendous lean and consistently gets leverage on opponents. Shows the ability to quickly change direction or redirect to oncoming ball handlers. Fluid, quick collapsing outside-in and gives effort in all areas. Stays with assignments, plays within himself and rarely off his feet. Plays with outstanding balance, agility as well as body control. Fast moving in every direction, easily gets outside the numbers pursuing the play and effective in the open field.
Negative: Comes off a disappointing senior campaign. Struggled during Senior Bowl practices. Not a stout defender.
Analysis: Nicholas is a physical presence who showed the ability to take over games in the past. Undersized for the defensive end position, he must show the ability to make plays in reverse and improve the consistency of his play.
