B J Goodson

School: Clemson
Position: ILB
Positive: Two-year starter who led Clemson with 108 tackles last season while also recording 14 tackles for loss. Short but hard-working linebacker with next level run defending ability. Scrapes well laterally, keeps the action in front of him and wraps up tackling. Displays a lot of quickness in his game, fires up the field and plays with a nasty attitude. Sells out on the blitz, makes plays in every direction and constantly around the ball.
Negative: Slow shedding blocks and controlled by a single opponent. Slow locating the ball at times, in large part due to his lack of height. Average coverage skills.
Analysis: Goodson comes off a breakout campaign and is tough run defender who plays with a killer mentality. He offers potential at the next level as a backup linebacker on the inside of a 34.
