Elijhaa Penny

School: Idaho
Position: FB
Positive: Junior-college transfer who posted a career-best 962 yards rushing as a senior when he started 12 games. Rushed for 12 TDs the prior year. Well sized ball carrier who picks up the tough yardage. Shows power in his game, breaks tackles and carries the pile then falls forward for the extra yardage. Patient, waits for blocks to develop and squeezes through the small openings of the offensive line. Keeps his feet moving, possesses a burst as well as good short area quickness, with the ability to avoid defenders or piles. Nicely adjusts to the errant throw and makes the reception in stride.
Negative: Gets in trouble when he tries to run East/West. Cannot beat defenders into the open field or around the edge.
Analysis: Penny was a strong ball carrier on the college level who also showed skill as a pass catcher and could eventually lineup as a West Coast fullback.
