Gerald Dixon Jr

School: South Carolina
Position: DT
Positive: Two-year starter who posted a career-best 29 tackles during his junior season. Nice sized gap occupier with marginal next level ability. Fires off the snap, shows strength in his lower body and the ability to bull rush opponents up the field. Takes up a lot of space in the middle of the line, plays with proper pad level and tough to move off the point. Quickly gets his hands into opponents, effectively using them to protect himself.
Negative: Does not show great upper body strength and gets stood up at the line. Easily out positioned from the action. Not much of a playmaker.
Analysis: Dixon is a wide-bodied lineman who could lineup at the next level at nose tackle if he improves his overall strength and technique.
