DeVaunte Sigler

School: Jacksonville State
Position: DT
Positive: Auburn transfer awarded varying degrees of All-America and all-Conference honors the past two seasons at Jacksonville State. Totals last year included 32 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and 4 sacks. Large, explosive space eating defensive tackle. Keeps his knees bent, effectively uses his hands and stout at the point of attack. Holds his ground, strong enough to slide through double-team blocks and brings ball carriers down on initial contact. Bull rushes lineman off the ball, shows a good change of direction and battles hard on the inside. Fires off the snap with a quick first step and for the most part plays with proper leverage.
Negative: Bends at the waist and must improve his overall playing balance. More of a gap occupier and a lineman better in a small area.
Analysis: Sigler plays big, strong football and projects as a nose tackle or two gap lineman.
