Corey Marshall

School: Virginia Tech
Position: DT
Positive: Posted 17 tackles in 6 starts last season after career numbers of 41 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks as well as 23 quarterback hurries as a junior. Undersized but explosive defensive tackle coming off a disappointing campaign. Plays with an aggressive attitude, viciously goes after ball handlers and works to make plays. Fires through the gaps of the offensive line and shows a good change of direction. Possesses excellent movement skills, easily gets down the line scrimmage and chases the action. Plays with good lean, keeps his feet moving and works his hands throughout the action.
Negative: Struggles getting off blocks and engulfed by opponents. Gets caught in the trash. Has off the field issues which has raised red flags.
Analysis: Except for his junior season when he was sidelined with a knee injury, Maddy was consistently productive for Virginia Tech and would do well as a backup in a four-man front at the next level.
