Calvin Heurtelou

School: Miami-Fl
Position: DT
Positive: Two-year starter who posted a career-best 27 tackles and 3 tackles for loss as a senior. Wide bodied lineman best occupying the gaps or taking on blockers. Fires off the snap, displays good power on the inside and works his hands to protect himself. Explosive at the point, plays with good lean and tough to move off the line. To his credit goes hard and plays through the whistle.
Negative: Controlled at the point by a single blocker and shows little in the way of moves attempting to disengage from opponents. More of a straight-line, small area defensive lineman. Marginally productive.
Analysis: Heurtelou possesses next level size and the style to line up as a zero technique or nose tackle but needs a lot of improvement in his overall game.
