Sterling Bailey

School: Georgia
Position: DE
Positive: Posted career numbers of 46 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss as a senior when he became a full-time starter. Underrated and relatively athletic defensive line prospect with a nice upside. Plays with consistent pad level, breaks down well and fast off the edge. Effectively uses his hands to protect himself, displays good movement skills and also strong at the point. Explosive, tough to handle and stands up offensive lineman which allows teammates to make plays on the ball. Disrupts the action and creates more of an impact than his stats would lend one to believe.
Negative: Struggles getting off blocks and must develop more moves. Not a great pass rusher. Lacks natural bulk. Inconsistent get-off from the line of scrimmage.
Analysis: Bailey is a nice sized athlete with growth potential and someone that has shown progress in his game. He does the little things well and could play several different positions on the defensive line as a backup.
