Romeo Okwara

School: Notre Dame
Position: DE
Positive: Two-year starter who finished with 40 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss and 8 sacks last season. Developing defensive line prospect with tremendous athleticism. Fluid, easily redirects to the action and displays tremendous movement skills. Quick if asked to twist or stunt, shows the ability to slide off blocks and also gets depth on pass drops. Fast in every direction, runs down ball handlers in backside pursuit and has a burst of closing speed. Breaks down well and uses his hands to protect himself. Occasionally stands up over tackle and moves around the field like a quick linebacker.
Negative: Marginally instinctive and at times looks lost. Lacks bulk and handled by larger opponents.
Analysis: Okwara showed tremendous progress in his game the past two seasons and should only get bigger, stronger and better in time.
