Nick Mangieri

School: Indiana
Position: DE
Positive: Three-year starter who led Indiana with 9.5 sacks and 12 tackles for loss last season to go along with 52 total tackles. Also broke up six passes. Understated defensive line prospect that comes with an upside. Plays with good lean, moves well in every direction of the field and keeps his feet and hands active throughout the play. Quickly locates the ball, gives effort defending the run and plays through the whistle. Relatively playing in space, off the line of scrimmage.
Negative: Average overall quickness. Has a thin build and struggles getting off blocks. Once blocked stays blocked.
Analysis: Mangieri was a consistent performer on the college field and is a solid football player with next level potential. He's a developmental prospect with possibilities as an eighth defensive lineman but must get stronger and add bulk to his frame.
