Jason Fanaika

School: Utah
Position: DE
Positive: Two-year starter who began his college career at Utah State. Career totals of 55 tackles and 5 sacks came during his junior season. Athletic college pass rusher who flashes the ability to take over games. Breaks down well, bends his knees and fluid moving in every direction. Fires off the snap with a quick first step, explosive at the point and flashes power. Shows a nice degree of quickness in his game, can bend off the edge or pursue from the backside.
Negative: Struggles getting off blocks and handled by opponents. Moderate production as a pass rusher. Still more athlete than football player.
Analysis: Fanaika put together a pair of productive seasons at Utah and is a defensive lineman with good upside but a prospect that needs significant development in his game.
