David Moala

School: Utah State
Position: DE
Positive: Junior-college transfer who began his career at Arizona State. Started 11 games last season posting a career-best 50 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks. Underrated interior defensive line prospect with potential in a variety of systems. Fires off the snap, plays with proper pad level and effectively works his hands. Keeps his feet moving, plays with balance as well as body control and fights throughout the action. Explosive, strong and makes plays in every direction of the field. Displays outstanding short area quickness and effective chasing the action in a straight line or laterally.
Negative: Lack of height is a hindrance. Struggles Getting off blocks and at times easily out positioned by opponents.
Analysis: Moala took his game to another level as a senior and offers possibilities as a 3 technique tackle and even a 2 gap lineman in certain situations. He needs to continue his development but is worth considering in the late rounds.
