Will Redmond

School: Mississippi State
Position: CB
Positive: Played in seven games last season before suffering a torn ligament in his right knee. Junior totals included 51 tackles, 3 INT's and 5 PBUs. Physically talented cornerback with an undeveloped game. Plays heads-up football, works well with safeties and fights to get up field to make plays against the run. Quick flipping his hips in transition, effectively reads or diagnoses the action and has a quick burst to the ball. Shows good route recognition in zone.
Negative: Occasionally gets caught out of position. Not a solid open field tackler. Coming off a significant knee injury.
Analysis: Redmond was highly rated entering the season and was playing solid football before his knee injury. He's rough around the edges in all aspects of his game and is a prospect with a high upside as well as a bit of downside risk.
