Ronald Zamort

School: Western Michigan
Position: CB
Positive: Three-year starter who finished with 59 tackles and a career-best 18 passes broken up as a senior. Broke up 53 passes the past three seasons. Underrated defensive back with solid ball skills. Quick flipping his hips in transition, moves well in every direction and effectively positions himself against opponents to break up the throw. Effectively times his pass defenses, gets vertical and works to knock passes away. Instinctive and does nice job diagnosing plays. Shows a large degree of quickness in his game and effective in downfield coverage.
Negative: Has a slim and slight build. Physically outmatched by larger opponents. Not a strong run defender and struggles bringing ball handlers down at the point of attack.
Analysis: Zamort has been productive the past three seasons and rarely gives up receptions for the opposition. Flying under the radar screen, he possesses the ball skills and ability to line up in dime packages on Sunday.
