Morgan Burns

School: Kansas State
Position: CB
Positive: Two-year starter named Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Year last season. Finished the year with defensive numbers of 38 tackles and 10 pass breakups while averaging 33.5 yards on 34 kick returns. Fast athletic college cornerback best as a special teams prospect. Fluid flipping his hips in transition, quick and has an explosive burst to the ball out of his plant. Works hard to get off blocks and make plays up the field against the run. Tremendous kick returner who picks up big chunks of yardage when given daylight.
Negative: Easily blocked from the action. Consistently gets turned and uses his speed to recover from mistakes. Average ball skills.
Analysis: Burns is a nice sized athlete but an average cornerback. The ability to alter the momentum of games with long kick returns could help him secure a roster spot.
