Mackensie Alexander

School: Clemson
Position: CB
Positive: Two-year starter awarded all-Conference honors as a senior after totaling 23 tackles and breaking up 5 passes. Talented shutdown cornerback with outstanding upside potential. Fluid and smooth, quick flipping his hips and does not bite on the ball fakes. Keeps the action in front of him, runs with opponents everywhere on the field and consistently locates the ball in the air. Physical, mixes it up with opponents and reads the receivers eyes then gets his head back around to track the pass. Competes the to defend the throw, gets vertical to high point the ball and knocks passes away.
Negative: Struggles in downfield coverage on occasion. Marginally productive on the college level.
Analysis: Alexander did a terrific job the past two seasons and was rarely challenged by opposing quarterbacks. He possesses all the necessary tools to be an immediate starter and should be very productive at the next level for a long time.
