Larry Scott

School: Oregon State
Position: CB
Positive: Two-year starter who posted a career-best 43 tackles and 11 pass breakups as a junior. Relatively athletic cornerback coming off a disappointing senior campaign. Effectively covers receivers on crossing patterns, shows the ability to make plays with his back to the ball and rarely challenged by opponents. Tracks the ball in the air, has a nice move to the throw and competes to break up the pass. Works to get off blocks then make plays up the field against the run.
Negative: Struggled throughout 2015. Hesitates to receivers moves off the line and usually a half step behind opponents downfield. Deep speed is a concern. Beaten out by larger receivers.
Analysis: Scott flashed skill as a junior then watched his game take a step back last year. He has the size and underlying ability to line up in nickel or dime packages for a variety of systems but must quickly turn his game around and improve on his 2014 campaign.
