Donte Deayon

School: Boise State
Position: CB
Positive: Three-year starter awarded all-Conference honors since his sophomore season when he posted a career-best 54 tackles, 6 INT's and 9 PBUs. Underrated cover corner with size limitations. Plays heads-up football, displays terrific recognition of routes in zone coverage and shows the ability to stay downfield with opponents. Tracks the pass in the air, has a burst to the ball out of his plant and displays good hands for the interception. Effectively reads the quarterbacks eyes then makes his move up the field defending the throw. Quick up the field defending the run and gives a lot of effort.
Negative: Gives up inside positioning to easily. Undersized and loses out in battles.
Analysis: Deayon has been ignored in scouting circles but has definite potential at the next level as a dime back in zone coverage and on special teams.
