D.J. White

School: Georgia Tech
Position: CB
Positive: Three-year starter who broke up 8 passes as a senior while recording 41 tackles. Nice sized cornerback coming off a disappointing senior campaign. Physical, mixes it up with opponents and a strong open field tackler. Uses his size and strength as an as an advantage, physically beating down opponents to defend the throw. Has a nice move to the ball, works hard to defend passes and displays a sense of timing and anticipation.
Negative: A bit slow out of his transition running downfield with opponents. Deep speed is an issue as he's constantly chasing receivers down the field. Tends to side shuffle off the line rather than backpedal which hurts his ability to drive to the ball.
Analysis: White has terrific size and has flashed cover skills the past three seasons. He offers potential as a dime back in man coverage if he pulls together a complete game.
