Cleveland Wallace III

School: San Jose State
Position: CB
Positive: Two-year starter awarded all-Conference honors since his junior season. Totals last season included 44 tackles, 3 INT's and 7 PBUs. Began his college career at Washington. Nice sized corner with terrific ball skills. Fluid pedaling in reverse, quick flipping his hips in transition and shows the ability to stay on the receivers hip out of breaks. Effectively reads or diagnoses plays, nicely times his pass defenses and shows good ball skills. Has a burst to the ball out of his plant and consistently knocking away passes.
Negative: Below average skills defending the run. Deep speed is a concern. Gets out positioned by opponents.
Analysis: Wallace was a terrific shutdown cornerback and has flown under the radar in the scouting community. He's a last day pick that could lineup in nickel or dime packages in both man or zone coverage.
