Briean Boddy-Calhoun

School: Minnesota
Position: CB
Positive: Junior-college transfer who started the past three seasons, finishing with a career-best 51 tackles and 5 interceptions as a junior. Missed all but two games during the 2013 season with a knee injury. Short cornerback who flashes ball skills. Effectively tracks the ball in the air, displays good anticipation and has an explosive closing burst. Quick in all his actions, easily stays with opponents on crossing patterns or runs downfield with them, playing faster than his 40 time. Gets his head back around locating the ball in the air and positions himself to defend the throw.
Negative: Gives a big cushion at the line of scrimmage which results in a lot of underneath receptions. Struggles against bigger wide outs. Late to react, takes himself from the action and streaky.
Analysis: Calhoun was highly rated entering the season yet failed to live up to expectations in 2015. He possesses enough athleticism and ball skills to get consideration in the last day of the draft then line up in dime packages at the next level.
