Adairius Barnes

School: Louisiana Tech
Position: CB
Positive: Two-year starter who finished with 50 tackles, 1 INT and 11 PBUs as a senior. Career-high 5 INT's came during his junior season. Underrated cover corner with legitimate next level potential. Works to jam opponents at the line scrimmage, quick flipping his hips in transition and competes to make plays. Locates the ball in the air, has a burst out of his plant and consistently positions himself to break up the pass. Shows a lot of quickness in his game, nicely times his pass defenses and plays faster than his 40 time. Quick up the field defending the run, shows the ability to defeat blocks and constantly around the action.
Negative: Side shuffles down the field which hurts his ability to quickly plant then break to the ball. Struggles staying with receivers out of breaks. Deep speed is a concern.
Analysis: Barnes took a backseat to many of the stars at Louisiana Tech but is a legitimate dime back/special teams player for Sunday.
