Nick Martin

School: Notre Dame
Position: C
Positive: Three-year starter awarded All-America honors as a senior. Tough, smart center with a well-rounded game. Blocks with solid fundamentals, bends his knees and gets leverage on opponents. Stays square, fires his hands into opponents and strong enough to turn defenders from the action. Quick out to the 2nd level, easily redirects to linebackers and seals them from the action. Can slide in space and handles one-on-one blocking assignments in pass protection. Keeps his head on a swivel, effectively quarterbacks the offensive line and works well with linemates.
Negative: Not a true finisher that drives opponents off the line. Occasionally overextends into blocks. Seemed to struggle picking up the blitz.
Analysis: Martin is a terrific offensive line prospect with starting potential and a blocker who should only get better with experience.
