Michael Matthews

School: Texas A&M
Position: C
Positive: Three-year starter at center who has been a cornerstone of the Texas A&M offensive line. Tough, hard-working center prospect with limited size/speed numbers. Bends his knees, blocks with leverage and quick in all his actions. Fluid and fast pulling across the line scrimmage, fires out to the 2nd level and removes linebackers from the action. Plays with consistent leverage, works his hands throughout the action and effective with the shotgun snap. Keeps his head on a swivel and works well with teammates.
Negative: Gets manhandled by larger opponents on the inside. Struggles finishing blocks. Lacks growth potential.
Analysis: Mathews was a terrific college center but has size and scheme limitations.
