Maxwell Tuerk

School: USC
Position: C
Positive: Four-year starter who lined up at left tackle, guard and center. All-Conference selection as a junior. Played in five games as a senior before having his season cut short with a knee injury. Strong, explosive lineman with a large degree of versatility. Powerful, gets a pad on opponents and clears the running lanes. Starts low to the ground, moves well if asked to pull across the line scrimmage and relatively effective blocking on the 2nd level. Keeps his head on a swivel, displays good blocking vision and always looking for someone to hit. Can slide his feet in space, correctly places his hands into defenders and anchors in pass protection.
Negative: Lacks bulk and has a lean build. Struggles handling opponents who get the first step on him.
Analysis: Tuerk was a consistent lineman for USC at several different positions and offers a good degree of upside for the next level. He offers size, growth potential and should only improve as he physically matures.
