Tony Jones

School: Northwestern
Position: WR
Bio: Three-year starter who posted a career-best 55 receptions, 630 yards and 4 TDs as a junior. Missed two games last season with a lower leg injury.
Positive: Speedy, vertical receiver with consistent hands. Plays with excellent body control as well as balance, uses his frame to shield away defenders and extends to offer the quarterback a target. Works back into the clearing, exposes himself to big hits and consistently looks passes into his hands. Displays soft hands. Shows quickness as well as a burst. Fluid and easily adjusts to the errant throws.
Negative: Possesses a thin build and loses out in battles. Gives effort as a blocker but gets poor results. Average production in college.
Analysis: Jones is a terrific athlete who displayed himself as a vertical threat for Northwestern and comes with upside. He's worth consideration in the late rounds and would do well as a fifth receiver.
